Children's Beauty and Talent Pageants 2010

 

 

1. Casual wear.

Participants should wear everyday casual clothing, such as jeans or leggings and a T-shirt. These should be ordinary clothes from chain-stores. The emphasis is on looking casual and natural, and ready for a day full of fun and outdoor activity.

 

2. Party wear / Formal wear.

Your chance to shine!!

          12 and under – should wear party clothes.  Look your best, as you would for a great party with your friends.  Fancy-dress outfits such as princesses and fairies are acceptable for 3 - 6 year olds.  The emphasis is on having fun! Wear a tiara and wave your magic wand - who knows, maybe your dreams will come true!

 

          13 and over – this is your chance to dress up in a beautiful evening gown or suit, a prom or bridesmaids dress. No outfit should be too low cut or revealing.

 

 

3. Talent – optional category.

 

A two minute slot to show your talent to the judges.  Choose something you enjoy, such as dancing, singing, cheerleading, or anything else that you love doing. Clothing should be appropriate to the talent.

 

Not available to the 3-6 year group, as we believe this would put pressure on our youngest participants.

 

 

4. Photogenic – optional category.

Please submit 2 head and shoulders photos, size 8 x 10 inches if sending prints. Otherwise photos can be sent electronically.

 

 

NOTE.

 

There will be winners from each age group for each judging category in the children's beauty and talent pageant. 

 

Participants can progress from the area heats to the finals without taking part in all categories, as the best in each category will be selected for the finals.

 

The overall children's beauty and talent pageant winner for each age group will need to take part in ALL CATEGORIES, as points will be awarded in each.

 

 

 

 

Make-up.

 

This children's beauty and talent pageant is looking for NATURAL stars.  We prefer a natural look, especially on participants 12 years of age or under.

 

 

Age 6 and under – no make-up is permitted for any part of the children's beauty and talent pageant.

 

Age 12 and under – No fake tan, eyelashes or nails are permitted.

 

Casual wear and photogenic sections – No make-up is required. If desired, a little make-up can be worn, but should be kept to a minimum, giving only a natural effect.

 

Party wear / Formal wear section

 

Age 7 -12 – a little make-up may be worn if desired, remembering that the judges prefer a natural look.  Glitter is acceptable.

 

Age 13 and over – make-up as desired.

 

Talent – make-up appropriate to the talent being demonstrated.

 

Hair – may be styled as you wish, appropriate to the section being judged.
